Hi, im back. Actually i think i am. Today is a sunday and as usual, i am having my weekly dose of sunday blues. Lots of happening but i realli dun feel like listing down what i went through for the past week or so. It's raining again. Stopped a while ago and came back to huant me once again. just like my feelings. eeks
The renovation is going to go on as plan. Had a slight argument with my mum yesterday over wad to do in my room. I wanted the table to be free so i can move them around if need be in the future. She refused. Insisted that i have built in tables. I wanted the table to be low profile, thost near the ground type so i can sit on the floor and do away with the huge chair. She refused. Insisted that i have a huge table so i work BETTER. Yesterday my car went for servicing again. The fuel guage wont work since the sentosa trip and it wasnt fixed last sat. The mechanic said the fuel guage and the float had to be changed but i hesistated for i was pondering if it was worth it. I rather spend the money to improve the performance of the car as i can judge the car fuel by the mileage. Haiz, wad the heck, i decided to change it. Then my mum (who happens to be NOT paying for the fixation of new spare parts) called the mechanic to make hell lot of a noise forcing him to explain the whole incident over AGAIN to her when i was STANDING in front of him. Made me look so much like a fool/idiot incapable of handling such small matters. This morning, i was about to leave the house for tuition so i needed to use my mum's car. She made hell lot of noise AGAIN even though she wasnt going to use the car.
The bottom line is. I'm quite pissed with her. Didnt argue with her out right but just frustrated. When i saw the exasperated look on my mechanic, i almost went mad. Sent my sis a msg to ask her to tell my mum to keep quiet. I cant imagine the things she would come up with if i ever put a 29" progressive 100hz scan TV in my room.
Past few days had been super super under productive for me. Didnt study much at all. Instead, i watched plenty of VCD and TV. Just last night, (sat night), there werent any shows on air. I had Duplex VCD which my frens are supposed to watch at kiat's house (though someone had to rush down to Korea Red so he didnt have anytime for his frens. Another one had to rush to his Grandmama house. Idiots. Bunch of idiots. One self proclaim study break and the other sick-poor thing. ) Anyway, i tried watching Duplex VCD by myself but the quality was too horrible for me. Could not bear the lousy sound and the poor image contrast. Ended up watching this super OLD movie (dont even know the name) where this guy puts on sunglass so he can see some aliens in the form of skeletons. Really stupid show. There was one scence where he had to beat the crap out of his best fren just to get him to put on the pair of magic sunglasses. Went to sleep after tat. By the way, i finished watching Inital D Stage 1 yesterday afternoon.
Chorale was fun. At least the singing was fun. Love to sing mamayog lah. Quite interesting cause the rhythm is nice and the voice range is just nice for me. Not like the salve regina...yucks. Everybody sing so loud when it is suppose to be such a nice song. Hate singing that in chorale. Anyway it was a productive session.
Wonder if horny night was fun. Should have gone down to take a look but i chose to stay at home to soak up my mum's super irritating mood. May i was the one who irritated her. Aiyah. Wad eva lah. I think Army is driving me crazy. i am a changed man. Super irritating. I should proceed to prove my point by telling all the readers the importance of money.
Money is used as a commodity (good) in our economy. There are three major ways of using money; as a numeraire, a means of exchange and a store of value. The use of money as a numeraire means that it is a means of counting. Discrete so it is easier. I leave the explaination out cause it can be quite boring. Moving on, money can be used as a means of exchange, which is fairly obvious. Suppose you want to sell a cow to buy a TV set, you will find it difficult to take your cow into the next shopping mall. Say, you don't have a car, you have to squeeze yourself (with the cow beside you) onto the bus, through the coward (crowd), up the escalator if need be and lay the cow on the counter of the electronics shop. Even if you managed not to break the counter, the seller of TV may not want to have a cow (eg Mustafa) He might want to buy some chickens (not pigs, eg Malaysia). This points to two other problems with not having money as a means of exchange. Moving the cow can be cumbersome. Say, the cow decides to throw some temperment by not moving its ass from the ground. being 3 times as heavy as you are, you will definitely not be able to move its ass. Even if you are able to, what happens if you, unfortunately, own an elephant? The second problem is that might not find another person who is willing to exchange his goods, which we desire, for the good that we have (say an elephant with tight ass). But you may say the electronics seller does not have to keep the cow. If he wishes to buy the chickens (either for consumption or pleasure), he may simply take the cow to the chicken seller who has a shop in another part of the town. however, he still have to take the cow to the shop (which is hell of a task) and the chicken seller may be an indian too (ie doesnt want a cow). Moreover, he might have to wait until the end of the week before he has time to go to the chicken seller (or until his urge comes before he approaches the pimp). Using money as a means of exchange is thus, much easier. Imagine that our electronic seller has agreed to take the cow in exchange for a 29" 100hz hyper progressive scan TV. The day is MOnday and he has to wait till friday before his urge for chicken comes along. The cow, meanwhile, might be sick or die before the day comes. Ie, money can be used as a store of value.
