Tadah, so here i am bloggin away with a heavy heart. Why heavy? Well, that's the question my love one has been asking me for the past few hours. Frankly speaking, there are so many parts to the answer i dun know how to go about solving it. Do hope i can feel alittle better by spilling out all the rubbish on my blog. =(
It's a long time since i blogged. No time lah no time... I am behaving like my expired qian li er. She never blogs more than twice a month and less than a thousand words in a year. Must put a stop to it! I am sooo tired, tired of rushing to work and then class after that... tired of going to kiddo's house to teach repetitive stuff so i can dig some cash from their poor parents in order to fuel my 'luxurious' life of 2 meals a day. Being independent is so difficult especially when your day job pays $420 a month. The thought of bills upon bills and where to get the extra cash so i can have a hearty meal at kopi tiam during lunch time tomorrow simply....#*($&)#$#?%>$#^?$>& me. Tired mind, tired body... the lack of time also prevent me from doting on my darling. And finally i have no time for my frens, for chorale...
The lazy people are going blading this saturday... for more details pls refer to orangecow.blogspot.com There are a few categories in the list of people but surprisingly, my type of people is not catered for. If you even bother scrolling through the list, i doubt you will find something like 'healthy people who has to support themselves by giving tuition the whole day - wont be joining us at all'. Well, i dun blame the writer cause my type of people is darn rare. =) anyway, i am trying to re-arrange my schedule so i can squeeze some time out for a little sun on saturday morning with them. Been a long time since i last saw the lazy people. Dun think qian li er will be there though. Oh, and my dear fren learning how to give out medicine at a clinic is having some problems at school too. Worst still, she got this suitor who kept bugging everyone else but her. Occasionally he'll send this four page long letter to her, but otherwise, he tries to find out how she is doing by talking to her frens on the out&out friendster. Sheesh, wonder if my baby will be going down. by the way, the lazy author actually provided this special category for my special fren who REFUSE to blade. wait a minute. this special fren of mine REFUSE to do any form of exercise... the last time i saw him working out was on orchard road because he was hearing voices in his head so he kept running in circles. tari ra ri ta ri ra ri ta ri ra ri RAH!
Beerie boy is staying in tampines. Welcome to the east... paradise. Let me give you a few tips about living in the elite residential area of Singapore.
1. Never wear you underwear and walk about in your apartment. Firstly, your roommates will freak out. Secondly, your neighbours in opposite blocks will freak out. Lastly, i'll freak out... never really like guys in underwear.
2. Never wear shoes when you walk about in the neighbourhood. Firstly, you will invite stares from aunites who walk around bare footed. Secondly *interrupted by a phone call for more arrows. what the heck*, Hobbits have huge feet with thick skin. Shoes are redundant. Lastly, we have marble flooring on the streets...do not attempt to scratch them with your cheapo shoes.
3. Wear sunglasses whenever you step out of the house. Firstly, the sun rises in the east so it tends to be rather glaring. Secondly, you have to look cool in the elite residential area. Lastly, you have bright people like me, eugene and dawn living in the same area.
4. Do not flash. Firstly, flashing your cash makes you look cheap. Always use credit cards even at the kopitiams. We accept visa, mastercard and AmericaXpress here. Secondly, flashing your EZlink card makes you a commoner. Give the impression that you either take cabs or drive. Hide your EZlink well. Lastly, keep your beer belly out of sight. Flashing it gives other the impression that you dun take high class alcohols like butanol or hexanol.
5. Listening to me makes you a complete idiot.
*goes for teabreak aka lunch*
i'm back to talk about my lousy life. Recently, the idea of purchasing a DSLR has been getting to me. THe quality of digi cams is seriously disppointing. The fact that i suck at photography doesn't help. Frankly speaking, i dun know how getting a DSLR will improve the images beside the technical superiority. So i am actually acquiring a better equipment to mask my lousy skills. SHouldn't i be polishing up my skills before getting a better equipment? At the end of the day, the work of a photographer is as good as his skills and his eye for photos...and not the kind of equipment he uses. Hmmm... the necessary evil...
Studies have been relatively dreadful these few days. I can't believe i am already so sick of studying 2 years into my part time degree. The modules are rather dull except for econs and i am seriously studying for the sake of studying. I have no interest what so ever in the modules! Okie, maybe i might be alittle biased right now because i am totally sick of rushing to classes after a long day at work. Think the day 'job' is zapping up all my interest in studies. Anyway, i cannot picture myself going through another 4 years at NUS to get a honours in biomedical engineering. The hours are longer and modules tougher. Though i have interest in those subjects, i wonder if i can excel at them. SAF has this unique effect of making one stupid. I know some of my fellow NSFs will agree with me... now i dun know if the spark of brilliance i shown during my As is a fluke or what. Nowadays i can hardly understand anything taught in class... maybe my time is over. So if i go NUS...will i just be a nobody? maybe scrapping a GPA of 3 for every sem? OH dear... maybe i shuld stop studying and just go work. Earn some money and be happy. Someone open my head up... think you people can see maggots crawling in side. Mundane tuitions have made me more and more stupid. I seriously dun know how teachers can teach the same subject for over twenty years. I asked some of them before and they told me they are meeting new people every year and the experience is different. BUt judging from the eight students that i have now...all seems the same to me. I feel like committing suicide everytime i repeat myself to them. ARghz... different experience my foot!
I seldom blog nowadays but when i do... beware. i throw in plenty of stuff just to satisfy my own needs and the thirst of dying readers. Right. i shall move on to the usual reporting of past weeks happenings. Caught two movies recently, one is the New police story and the not-so-touching tennis show. ah tong preferred the former cause it made her laughed quite abit. For me ah...alright lah. i've a sudden urge to play tennis! haha. the way he hit the ball in the show was like...wow. It also brought me to think about sports psychology, something i researched about for my dearest a few weeks back. The things that goes through the mind of a sportsmen during a competition. Something he said struck me during the show. His opponent asked him "how's your weak back? *sniggers*" and he replied "fine. how's the weak mind?" Hmmm this addresses the issue doesnt it. Is sports a mental game or a physical game. I believe it's more of the mental one... not that all sportsmen are insane but rather you have to be tough up there to win the trophies. Susilo once said that all the top players have the same standards and usually the one on form wins the game. so wad did he meant by on form? was he referring to the mental battle the sportsmen have to go thru? hmmm... an application of sports psychology can be in the area of training or keeping fit. This is especially evident when you go for a jog. Ever been running for 400m and think that you've done 20km? The lack of stamina and muscles are usually the least important factor in determining the distance you actually run. Most of the time, the mind runs fatigue before the mucles. So how do you keep on going... some listen to music, some pray, some just tell themselves "okie, if i run past that street lamp i will give myself a treat of double scope vanilla with extra toppings later!"...
Boring stuff. Let me move on to juicy details
I love <****ing> my girl. =) Oops.
Somehow, i sense that i am going to get a scolding for the above sentence. Hee, such things should be kept secret but well... kissing and hugging are signs of affection. How come we give our dadddie mummie huggiez and kisses when we were young but stop as we grew older? Is this because we are chinese? or malaysians? or singaporeans to be more specific? Please dear readers...go home and give your mummie a hug. She deserve it. Give your daddy a pat on the back... not too hard though. What is so wrong about kissing in public? I am not talking about french kissing or some erotic acts that make traditional folks cover their eyes...just simple *muackz* on the cheeks. (btw, pls dun make any interpretation of these to me and ah tong... just uttering some nonsense here.)
Mahjong cures all sickness.
I went for a medical checkup yesterday regarding my sinus. Contemplating to undergo the operation leh. Apparently, i am super allergic to dust. The doc who was very patient explained to me that the soft tissues high up my nasal passage swells up when ever my allergy starts to act. In my case, the swelling is pretty bad hence the perpetual block nose. With the swollen cushions, the airflow is blocked and thus the difficulty in breathing. sheesh. The down side of the op...
1. The soft tissues might grow back about 4-5 years after the operation though not to the extent before the op. The effect though is tremendous in the first few years but is reduced in the subsequent years.
2. 48 hours after the op, the nose will be stuffed with cotton wool and i can only breath through my mouth
3. 40 days after the op, the nose will experience on and off profuse bleeding.
Eeeekz... but if i do it, i can definitely breath better since she said the swelling is rather pronouced in my case. Furthermore, the cost of the entire operation will be covered by SAF. The FOC part entice me like nothing else...Oh, not to mention the MC.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
