I didn't know what the muscle twitches just before you fall asleep are natural body responses. Apparently, when the body prepares to fall asleep, the heartbeat slows down and the respiratory rates decrease. The brain then interprets this as the body "dying" and henceforth sends nerves impluses to shock the body out of it. Hmm. interesting eh?
I'm a lazy pig. need to get my hair cut BY today.

i didnt know tat too~
Hmmm...judging from the overwhelming response, i shall continue on my "house" series and spread the medical information.
If your body jolts you out of sleep to prevent you from "dying", logically, you shouldn't be able to sleep, because as soon as you try to sleep again, your body would again twitch and therefore you'd be twitching the whole night and unable to sleep.
Illogical. Cannot process in mental faculty.
