Among other things the keeps bugging me, there is the "orientation" tomorrow. I wonder how it's going to be like... for e.g.

1. how many people are there in bio-engineering
2. will the people there be geeks like YC and me or slackers like kiathy or cool dudes like my baby...or are they all intelligent techies like jimbo
3. i wonder if there will be any gals in the "class". hope not... things will be less troublesome... just like shikamaru!
4. will the indian ass be there?
5. what the heck are they going to bring me to see in the lousy old sch? i need to study for my macro paper on vesak day. =(
6. got free food anot?
7. wonder if there will be anyone i know, if not loner siah
8. hope i dun bump into any of my students... SO PAISEH!!!

okie... orientation aside. kiathy has confirm that we will be going to bangkok on the tenth of july. I will be going with an empty bag! haha. eugene apparently has some reasons... nevermind. i shall talk to him when i see him online, that is if he doesn't go invisible on the list *hint hint*. there are some clarifications to be done man. Shunk and geekie "boy" are interested to go with us... haha what a humourous sight to see geekie shopping with me and my baby around those hip malls. Must get him to try some funkie clothes!! haha... a change from the shirts and ties. =)

There have been so many lunch treats with my ex-army colleagues but i've blogged none. Two of which were particulary memorable... the treat that i gave them on my final day and the recent one where we celebrated monica's bday. The former was at suki sushi and my chief clerk made a ridiculous remarks about raw sashimi... She actually asked the lady for a bowl of hot soup so she could cook the salmon in it!!! haha... in the end the temp of the water was not high enough to turn the orange red flesh pale pink so she decided she'll have rice for the rest of the afternoon. muahaha. so cute. Then my dear monica who turned 39 this year actually acted like 18. It was the end of the meal already and there were bits of food left on the plate. Instead of eating the food up like a gracious bday girl would, she suggested that we play "rolling". the conversation went something like this...

"wah, nobody want to eat ah? okie!!! let's play rolling!!!!"

*stun faces across the table* "rolling?"

monica opened her eyes biG as if none of us heard of the ever popular game before. She motioned towards the lazy susan and all of us burst into laughters.

"okie ah, we play rolling okie!! i turn this then land on who then the person must finish ah!"

"land on who!!??" *lauffz*

just when we thought she was joking, she rolled the lazy susan as we opened our eyes from the mad laughters.

...

another round of laughters... haha. Such an adorable lady. And her blurness surprises me everytime. We actually managed to "hide" her cake all the way from the car to the restaurant, throughout the meal merely by putting it behind our backs. amazing.

Jacky cheung is coming to singapore in sept. I wanna watch xue lang hu!!!

phew. time to sleep.
