Post Wedding

Took about 270 shots in total at the wedding, having to delete many pictures at the end as the storage runs out. Damn the pictures were noisy... arghz. It was a valuable lesson in the end.

Wedding photography is not easy. There are too many things you have to be aware off. After a few hours of searching, i have trouble picking out 25 good photos from the pool of 270. I managed 5 at the moment. Shall continue tomorrow. Taking wedding pictures and my normal hobby ones are totally different. For a start, i can't possibly photoshop all 270 of them. Furthermore, i can't take my own sweet time during the event. It's the moment that i have to capture. Time just won't bloody stop for me to compose the pictures properly. Many of the photos have pretty bad composition all because of my incapability! Luckily i'm just a backup photographer. Imagine what will happen if i go to liquan and tell him..."sorry dude. you all move too fast that day, resulting in the bad composition and the camera shake..." I hope i didn't get in the way of the photographer that day. Learnt a couple of lessons by observing how he went about his shoot. Excellent man. Can see that he is super experienced (despite his young age). There was this instant where he took a step back while i was busy shooting in the room as the groom unveils the bride. I thought "what the heck is this guy trying to do...capture the moment man!" He calmly pull the door and frame the couple before pressing the shutter. I was like...oops. And there was another incident at the lift lobby when they just arrive at the bridegroom's house. I was trying to photograph them as they approach. I realised the lack of events happening around me so i turned around and saw that guy shooting the reflection off the notice board. ARrrrghz! These are the things that i will do if i have all the time in the world. Given all the fast moving events, i simply couldn't stop and think like him! so ashame...

Anyway, this is my favourite shot from that day.
