Bitter Taste of Failure
After spending my mid-term break studying for my physics test, i found that i've wasted much of my time. The test was slightly more difficult than what i've expected but not entirely un-do-able. In the end i managed to answer (correctly to knowledge) 7 out of 15 questions. I ran out of time for the last four and had careless mistakes for two. Needless to say, the remaining two questions were beyond me.
I'm suppose to feel utterly sad, yet i remembered my 14/100 for my prelims during the first year in SIM. Although this contributes to the course grade and that flop didn't, somehow, the feeling is the same for both. Bitter... bitter.
My friend was even more upset than me though we got the same number of mistakes. I wonder why. Then i tried cheering him up. Since we got 8 wrong, it means we can get potentially get 92 marks for the course! I mean, if those who do well for this test get complacent and in the end flop their final paper while we strive and get full marks... Then won't we be the tops?! However, after some simple punching on the calculator, i found that the odds was rather low (appears to be zero on my calculator but then again, this stupid device can only store up to 10 decimal places...right?)...chance?
