Nonsense Puzzle

Started my management mathematics lecture today and the lecturer was super super boring. He had this uninteresting tone which drives everyone to sleep. Anyway, he gave us a puzzle (which incidentally became the most interesting part of the lecture) during the break.

Add a straight line on either side of the equation to make the statement true (do not temper with the equality sign):

1. XXII / VII = II (Hint: Roman Characters)
2. I0 I0 I0 = 950 (Hint: Time)

Anything goes for this hungry little cat... It's tongue resembles Goodyear tyres. My ex army officer once told me that the tongue of the cat family is particularly rough.
