Menopause

Today is my mother's birthday!!! Happy BBBbbBbirthdAy to YOU!!! =)

There is rising awareness of menopause in our society today, as compared to the pre-HDB ages. (I have a tendency to refer to different ages of Singapore with different developments like the times of SBC, the times of diverless MRT and perhaps in the future water-sports reservoirs and IRs). My mother attended a talk regarding remedies of menopause at York Hotel this morning with the speaker dishing out information on the different medications available. It is a major manisfestation of the affluence of the society to promote the dilution of the side effects due to the drop in oestrogen.

Perhaps EZ-health can take up this issue and talk about it (if there ain't any yet). I was reading the September issue moments ago and headed straight for Dawn's articles (as usual). First up was on Felicia...not interested. Next was...i can't remember. I could only draw references from the articles to the "Body and Soul" programmes i heard on the newsradio 93.8fm. Sounds entirely the same to me. Talks about eye infections, talks about hair, cancer... interesting though. Reminds me of why i wanted to be a doctor in the first place. (i'm not in medicine).

Had lessons till late yesterday so i didn't drop by VC's de-briefing. Wonder if anyone took minutes...=) Xiamen.... Studies... =|
