Mundane

Saw an article in newpaper today mentioning about how the our country is ran like a System. Everywhere has its place, a define route and law & order prevails. The author calls for more flexible paths and mentioned how the educational path is so structured. I believe his motives were benign in nature but can't help thinking how many of the readers actually take a deviation and look upon it as condeming the well planned system.

I think many have jumped the wagon before and pointed fingers at the All Whites for making the young ones "speech challenged". The author categorise the outputs of the system into two distinctly different groups, one destined to be at the top of the society while the other continues fighting with marxism beside the sewage down in jurong.

Perhaps we have taken things for granted. Each system has its pros and cons and I certainly trust that the iron cage at the top structured the program such that we benefit from it in exchange for a few overly emphasized western traits. How many of us will be where we are today had not for the clear educational path set out since young. Although half our cohort ended up in courses which we have no interest in or scratch our head everytime our frens and relatives ask "what do you wanna be in the future?", at least we are not sitting by the corridor playing marbles or transformer or power rangers for that matter.

I'm not making much sense am i... lost my thoughts halfway typing. Need sleep.
