I was struggling to start studying again when i dug deep into my archives to find this shot of the shophouses by the river in malacca. It's not a fantastic shot but when i saw the photo, it reminds me of the place. I remember standing on a bridge taking this shot (and a couple others) and felt totally relaxed. The rain clouds gathered and the wind was blowing gently. It was a nice feeling though the place was like the old kallang river.

A little gloomy and picturesque. I like the feel. The stillness of the water and the reflection conveys transquility admist the stormy clouds. Interesting contrast.
ashwin: did a B&W and then duplicated an original layer to blend in with colour mode. Then adjusted the opacity and added some gaussian blur. Didn't achieve the effect which i want though. hope this helps.
this is so nostalgic i think we lived somewhere near that orange block in the background in my UM exchange thingie. haha.
