Notes Taking

Wasted my precious sleep hours this morning in LT 14...It was chapter 2 of econometrics (foundation) which is essentially business statistics. There is nothing new to take away from the lecture since more of the things flashed upon the wall were taught in secondary school. Yet, i saw my hardworking counterparts scribbling away as the lecturer went montonous for the 1hr 45 mins torture. Blame the tiny brain of mine for forgeting to print the notes for this morning's lecture, i resorted to using my laptop for reference and "notes taking". However, a quick check around me showed that i was the only lazy one, so i've decided to close my lappie and open only when i DO have notes to add.

Time pass as the minute hand scurried down the merry go round. NOTHING i could add. So i took a peep at my neighbour who was changing coloured pens faster than i change my undies. Hmmm... NUS arts people are not that intelligent eh? Hope no one from there is reading this... okie, i shall not generalise, so i target my comments only to my neighbour this morning. It happened to be a "she".

There were two diagrams with the titles "positively (negatively) skewed distribution", illustrating whatever notes was above them. So it was "new", so she decided to take notes. Perhaps it was the lecturer's hypnotic voice that caused her to react erraticly or maybe she couldn't find anything to write even after skimming through the 3 lines worth of notes. She drew two perfectly straight arrows pointing to the diagrams and added the beautiful titles "skewed distributions" below.

This is just one of the many examples which i can hardly remember. I was busy repaying my sleep debt (not on the train).
