Knowledge

The prof was going through his usual rantings this afternoon and some of the things he said actually knocked some sense into me. He mentioned one incident when he overheard a little girl asking her mother on one rainy day. "Mummie, why are the lights falling?" An innocent question like that demostrated her sharp observational skills which was far superior to our apathetic attitudes. I don't know what the mother told her, neither do i know what i would have said in her shoes. The proper explanation is that light got "trapped" within the raindrops due to total internal reflection (which occurs when the critical angle is exceeded), something we learnt in secondary school but never told of its applications. Embarrassed and ashame of my lack of knowledge, i bowed my head and tucked into my cold mcSpicy Double

Took this at my niece's first month. She spent most of her time sleeping and my mum refuse to let me take any photos of her (though i managed to sneak one.) This is one of her many toys which took her place as my main subject that day. Colourful... first square crop.
