Test Water

Black Society

Who shall be king today? Devious plans attempted yet failed terriblly to impress me. Where are the mind twisting plots?! Disappointing. Thinking about prospects of being a photographer instead. A fren from church wants to buy over my D70 and i was considering upgrading to a S3Pro. However, if you notice, money didn't seem to be part of the equation here. Ideally, i would jump at the suggestion but as reality sets a check on me, some things just have to wait. Although I made a promise to fulfill my dream of having an exhibition on my 23rd bday, I still need to eat for the next two years. Money....dreams...

Test Water

Camera Model: NIKON D70

F-Number: f/8.0
Exposure Program: Aperture Priority
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Metering Mode: Center Weighted Average
Focal Length (35mm Equiv): 135 mm

I was expecting drop to generate some comments but as usual, the comment box remained as empty as ever. Simple comments like "yucks, i don't like the feel of it" or "hmmm nice attempt, keep it up!" will do wonders. At least i know that particular shot generates some interest. Anyway, this chopstick was used to aid me get the focus right for the "drop" shot. Because i was using the macro lens, the focus plane at this particular angle was very small hence the need for this precision.

yo uncle! :)
one question, why is the water green?

Its a very cool shot.. as in interesting.. though i am not sure what is conveyed..

maybe it would look better if can get rid of the smudges (as in the water marks u can see .. u noe wat i mean?) but i guess that can be seen as natural..

how will it look like if u can dun focus on the chopstick but on the water drop? can u actually do that with the cam or photoshop?

The water is green because i have a coloured paper below the plastic which was holding the water. =)

As for the focus thing, this was actually a "by-product" as i adjust the focus for the previous "drop" shot. However, the chopstick and the water drop are in the same plane so i can't focus on one yet ditch the other... though ps can cure that with ease but it won't be natural right?

hee...wah comments are coming in after i start whining!
