Camera Model: NIKON D70
Lens: Nikkor DX 18-70 Wide-Zoom
Exposure Time: 1/160 sec
F-Number: f/5.6
Exposure Program: Aperture Priority
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Metering Mode: Manual
Focal Length (35mm Equiv): 27 mm

Took this at the national library (although we are NOT supposed to take photos in that compound) as i found the lines intriguing but the composition is really bad. In fact i have a couple of sunrise shots taken several days back but i thought this was even more postworthy than those weak shots. Pls gimme your thoughts on this one. I love to hear ANY comments you have even if it's a one word response. tks!

Too messy, can't look at it for more than 3 seconds before my eyes hurt. The lines are simply too strong and all fighting against each other for attention e.g. the criss cross lines, the horizontal lines, the 'grids' outside the criss crosses, and the buildings. Didn't help that the buildings are slanted and throw me further off balance. There's no subject of interest in the photo, just lines criss crossing each other haphazardly leading to no where. Even the sky is bleak and disappointing for a photo coming from the deep-blue-sky lover. Hehe.

Dizzying but interesting actually. I don't agree with the rest that there is no main focus or subject of interest in the picture. The subject is the seemingly haphazard combination of intersecting lines, grids and reflections. The shot would have even been better if the buildings in the background were not visible as this would have kept the viewer guessing as to the venue of the shot.

i found the foreground to be interesting. the tilted angle adds a sense of positive confusion to the photo but the background (ie the stuff outside the building) is just too messy for my liking.
